Nikos Beteinis

Laboratory of Geophysical - Satellite Remote Sensing and Archaeo-environment

Nikolaos (Nikos) Beteinis graduated with a diploma in Archaeology and History of Art from the Department of History and Archaeology of the University of Crete. He is a postgraduate student in Byzantine Studies in the same Department. He has participated in the excavation of Sector II of ancient Eleutherna, Central Crete (directed by prof. Christina Tsigonaki, University of Crete), at Rodafnidia in Lesbos (directed by prof. Nena Galanidou, University of Crete), at Taşköprü/Kastamonu in Turkey (directed by dr. Latife Summerer, Arkin University of Creative Arts and Desing), at Philomelos, Delphi (directed by Dr Nicolas Kyriakidis, Paris 8), as well as in the surveys at Mount Oxa (Elounda, Eastern Crete, directed by Georgia Moschovi, Ephorate of Lassithi and prof. Ch. Tsigonaki, University of Crete and) and at ancient Itanos’ territory (Eastern Crete, directed by Chryssa Sofianou, Ephorate of Lassithi).
