Elli Bia is a Ph.D. candidate in Byzantine archaeology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with a dissertation on Early Byzantine Culinary Ceramics from the excavations of the French Archaeological School in Thassos. She has participated in excavations in Delos, Thassos, Patras and Amorion in Asia Minor. Since January 2022, she is a member of the research program Byzantine Agricultural Landscape Across the Aegean, directed at IMS/FORTH by Dr. Nikos Tsivikis. Her main object of study is the study of buildings and the agricultural material culture from the excavation of Messini.
