Οn Thursday Dec. 12, at 19:00 (Athens time) Director of Research Emeritus Luc Brisson (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) will give a lecture on «Porphyry on the Prologue of Plato's Timaeus».

Abstract
In his Commentary on Plato’s Timaeus, Proclus attributes to Porphyry several exegetical remarks on the Prologue of the Timaeus , often in connection with comments by Cassius Longinus and Origen the Platonist. This should allow us to determine the type of exegesis practiced by Plotinus’ disciple.
