FORTHistory

The FORTHistory 1983-2023 research project explores FORTH’s historical, institutional and scientific trajectories during the last forty years in Greece and abroad. It is conducted by a team of scholars collaborating with the Department of the History of Technology of the Institute for Mediterranean Studies (IMS-FORTH); it is headed by the Director of IMS-FORTH, Professor Gelina Harlaftis and directed by Dr. Spyros Tzokas. In order to achieve the two-years’ research goal (2021-2023) that will lead to the publication of an anniversary volume, IMS-FORTH maintains an extensive collaboration with experts and researchers in History of Modern & Contemporary Science, Technology, Medicine (post-doctoral, doctoral and post-graduate fellows) of the Department of History and Philosophy of Science of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens and has the institutional academic support of the Department of History of the University of Crete.
