- The Economic and Social Development of the Port–Cities of the Western Black Sea Coast, Late 18th – Beginning of the 20th century, conference organised in Constanța and in Varna in 27 May -1 June 2014 by Andreas Lyberatos and C. Ardeleanu.
This conference was organised in the framework of the international research project “The Black Sea and its port- cities from the 18th to the 20th century. Development, convergence and linkages with the global economy” (Thales 2012-15, coordinated by the professor Gelina Harlaftis). The papers of the conference became the basis for the publishment of the collective volume Port Cities of the Western Black Sea Coast
