The Archive of Ottoman History of the Institute for Mediterranean Studies includes, among material collected from research projects in the field of the same name, a digital collection of Ottoman yearbooks of the Balkan and island provinces of the Ottoman Empire from the second half of the twentieth century. as well as a small archival collection of the beginning of the 20th century by the Directorate of Muslim Religious Institutions of Rethymno (receipts of payments).

Thanks to the sponsorship of the Alexandros S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation, the IMS Library has a digital collection of Ottoman almanacs (salname) of the Balkan and island provinces of the Ottoman Empire. These are 87 volumes of the second half of the nineteenth century, which offer valuable information about the provinces of Edirne, islands of the Northeast Aegean, Crete, Thessaloniki, Ioannina and Monastiri (Bitola).
