Within the context of the project Modern Greek Prosody Archive a meeting was organised on the subject: "The revival of Ancient Metres" 
The meeting, in which Greek and foreign specialists participated, was funded by the Ministry of Culture.

Lecture by Dimitris Kalomerakis, architect, Director of the Mount Sinai Foundation, on the subject: "The town-planning development of the old town of Rethymno".

The Turkish Studies project of the IMS, the Oriental and African Studies Section of the History and Archaeology Department of the University of Crete and the student association "Roads to the Orient" organised events on the culture of Islam under the general title: "Roads to the Orient: Aspects of another world".
