Centre of Maritime History Minas Antipas is a historian, a PhD candidate at the Department of History and Archeology of the University of Crete since 2017, supervised by professor Gelina Harlaftis. His doctoral thesis: "Society and economy of Hydra, 1815-50. The ship-owning group of the island and the change of its orientations in the transition from the Ottoman reality to the new Greek state" was financed in the period 2018-2021 by the Hellenic Research and Innovation Foundation (EL.I.D.E.K.) within the framework of the "EL.I.D.E.K. Scholarships" Action. PhD Candidates". He has taken part in a significant number of research projects, has made presentations at conferences in Greece and abroad and already has more than four publications in book chapters.
