Nikos Megapanos

Centre of Maritime History Nikos Megapanos was born in Athens in 1958. He studied at the Department of Economics of the Law School of the University of Athens. From 1990 to 2017, he was involved in book publishing (Oceanida, Ammos, Avgo). He completed his postgraduate studies at the Department of History and Documentation of the Ionian University, specializing in Modern and Contemporary History. Since 2021, he has been a PhD candidate at the University of Crete. The subject of his doctoral dissertation is "The Shipping of Messolonghi in the 18th Century: A Fleet at the Border."
