Kostas Damianidis

Dr Kostas A. Damianidis has graduated from the Architect School of National Technical University of Athens in 1984. His Doctoral Thesis on “Vernacular boats and boat building in Greece” was submitted at the University of St. Andrews, U.K. in 1990. 

He is currently research director of the project “Virtual Historic Sailing Ships” in the Institute of Mediterranean Studies /FORTH from 2020.

He is consultant on wooden boatbuilding projects for the Ministry of Culture and he was the director of several projects on restoration of traditional wooden boats for Museums and private owners.
