Fernando Blanco-Robles, got his PhD in Ancient History at the University of Valladolid (Spain) in 2023. His PhD thesis focused on  slavery in Hispania. He specializes in the epigraphy of slaves and freedmen from Hispania and in prosopographic, demographic, and onomastic studies derived from Latin epigraphy. His other research interests include Roman imperialism, Romanization, and the identities of ancient populations. He has published in various peer-reviewed journals and collective volumes,  and participated in multiple national and international congresses. He is a member of the Sociedad Española de Estudios Clásicos (SEEC), and Association Internationale d’Épigraphie Grecque et Latine (AIEGL).  

For the present project, he is in charge of the epigraphic sources from Hispania concerning slaves and freedpersons.
