Nikos Angelopoulos
Nikos Angelopoulos completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Patras and his Μαστερ studies at the University of Cambridge with high distinction, achieving first place. He received his Ph.D. from UCLA in December 2019. He has published 23 articles, given 29 presentations at top conferences (NELS, GLOW, SALT, WCCFL), and delivered 14 invited lectures at various universities (UC Santa Cruz, UCLA, NYU). He has also collaborated with distinguished scientists internationally. From 2022 to 2024, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the "Locality in Language" program at the University of Crete, funded by ELIDEK. His research has been published in top journals, including Linguistic Inquiry (MIT Press), Natural Language and Linguistic Theory (Springer), and Glossa. In 2023, he received an award for his contribution to linguistic diversity (Language Acquisition, Taylor and Francis), and in 2024, he was named the best young researcher at the University of Crete. Recently, he secured the prestigious Maria Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship with a score of 99%.
