Τhe Institute for Mediterranean Studies/FO.R.T.H. announces an international conference in Art History, to be held in Rethymno, Greece, on 10 and 11 October 2019. The topic of the conference is The Mediterranean of the artists: A critical modernity, 1880-1945 / La Méditerranée des artistes: Une modernité critique, 1880-1945. The conference is organized in collaboration with AMU-TELEMMe (Aix-Marseille Université), LabEx EHNE (Ecrire une Histoire Nouvelle de l'Europe - Centre André Chastel / Sorbonne Université) and Institut Mémoires de l'édition contemporaine (Caen).
