Spyros Tzokas is a Post-Doctoral research fellow at the Institute for Mediterranean Studies/FORTH for the Project ARCHERS: Advancing Young Researchers’ Human Capital in Cutting Edge Technologies in the Preservation of Cultural Heritage and the Tackling of Societal Challenges, is funded by Stavros Niarchos Foundation. The research addresses the Policies of Protection of Intellectual Property, emphasizing on Industrial Property in Greece during the 20th century. At the core of his research are the role of technology and expertise, the social and scientific environments of innovation and invention as well as aspects of institutional protection for these issues. S. Tzokas holds a PhD in History and Philosophy of Science & Technology (National & Kapodistrian University of Athens - National Technical University of Athens, 2011). Since 2012, Tzokas has been teaching as an adjunct faculty member (tutor) the undergraduate course: Human and Natural Sciences in Europe, at the Hellenic Open University, (School of Humanities, Studies in European Civilization).
