I hold a BSc in Geology (2001), MSc (2003) and PhD. (2007) in Applied Geophysics from the University of Thessaloniki (Greece). I was a post-doctoral researcher (2008) in the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM). Since 2012 I am Assistant Researcher in the Laboratory of Geophysical–Satellite Remote Sensing & Archaeoenvironment of IMS-FORTH. Since 2012 I hold the position of Research Associate in Chicago Field Museum of Natural History in USA. I have participated and/or organized in 100 geophysical projects in Greece, Cyprus, Hungary and S. Korea and I have been the main researcher in 30 Greek and EU funded large scale projects (e.g. KRIPIS POLITEIA, KRIPIS PEFYKA, ARISTEIA I & II, THALES, LIFE+, Archaeolandscapes Europe, Wenner-Gren, NSF, SERISK, LIFE, CRINNO, DIGITAL CRETE, GEOWATERS). I have extensive collaborations with national and international university and research foundations from Turkey, Hungary, Cyprus, S. Korea, USA in supervising graduate and undergraduate students and participating in PhD and MSc evaluation committees. I have organized and participated as instructor in international workshops (RESTAR< RESTECH). I have been awarded with research scholarships (e.g. FORTH, Fulbright Foundation) and I acted as member of the Scientific/Organizing Committees and sessions of various international conferences and workshops. I am is Co-Editor of “Archaeo-Remote Sensing News” and participate in the review committees of different peer review journals (e.g. Journal of Applied Geophysics, Geophysical Journal International, Engineering Geology, Geophysics etc). I have presented 65 Oral and 48 Poster communications in 69 international conferences and I have given 13 invited lectures in Greece, S. Korea and USA. I have published 3 chapters in books, 31 peer-reviewed journal papers, 34 refereed papers in books of proceedings, 44 extended abstracts, 5 papers in international newsletters, 55 Technical Reports and my work has more than 440 citations based on Google Scholar.
